yulia brodskaya and my new resolution

sososo, I stumbled across this lovely lady's work. Look at it and you can tell that it's crazy hard to do. I have a set for this and I just gave up because I couldn't deal with it. It's impossibly hard, but seeing this makes me want to start all over again. Maybe I will, after midterms and all that. Anyways, this stuff is crazy good. So, props to you, Yulia, you are the shit.

P.S. Shelby says that it's called "quilling", in case you ever want to google it / try it for yourself...

how to be a stalker

Some people already know this, but I am a creeper. So, since I'm such a creeper, I'll share my creepy site that takes you into the homes of famous people! The Selby is what I use to get into the home of people like the Cobrasnake, and why not, Peaches Geldof and her buds. Just because. It's all done by Tom Selby, a nice person and also really funny from what I read on his wee surveys. And, just from looking, I can tell that me and the Cobrasnake are gonna be great friends. I just know. ALSO! I really love the clothing label Lover, a not-so-teeny-weeny label anymore created by two australian lovebirds, Nic and Susien, and their cat Potato, and you can see their humble abode on The Selby too!

Plus, they do these super cute handwritten surveys that are too funny sometimes.

really, I am too happy.

Margaret Durow

Something about these photos make me want to run away and live in the forest.

I'm torn between the pleasures of the bustling city or the quiet of the country.

STUDS

my gem sweater idol, Leslie Hall

since I just don't feel like studying statistics (even though I should be), I've decided to post a little sumpin' sumpin' about STUDS...but not that kind! I mean, straight up, bedazzle-the-shit-out-of-everything studs. I bought some studded jeans from H&M for fiddy-sumpin' dollars while I was at work. Not too shabby, I think. I'm obsessed with them! Studs will always give you a little edge, even if you're jesus.

I'm starting to look into DIY studding - it's not hard, just head over to Fabricland and get yourself a kit. In fact, I'm thinking about purchasing a bedazzler so I can also glam-up my boring black-and-gray-everything wardrobe with studs AND gems, and possibly make my own gem sweater a la Leslie Hall. Why the hell not, right? Tackiness is back, my friends, just do it tastefully.

but let's get serious. Who doesn't love these things?

best frenemies

I'm not too much for fluorescent colours anymore, but I am a fan of Cassette Playa (aka Carrie Mundane, aka the craziest girl in the world), who styled MIA (I know, right???). So, this is an exciting post if you like Nike Blazers, acid-induced colours, and complete and utter pattern mish-mashery. Now she's teamed up against Parra, another crazy-amazing designer! Check out these amazing sneakers:

Aaaaaand these pretty, pretty tees:

Don't forget that Mundane designed some sick tracksuits from before. Just sayin'
